2 Timothy 4:1 – 4 |
Preach the word: Preaching is the God ordained means to prevent defection from the truth. A Teacher who appeals to bring to itching ears tells people what they want to hear, not what they need or should hear. Thus, both shall be turned unto fables (myths or legends). Unfortunately this is a key problem with many modern day charismatic churches where as they feel the need to re-write or re-teach the word (Scriptures) in order to please the multitudes and entertain the baby Christians, weather this be youth at age or baby Christians at heart. We cannot forget that Jesus saves souls we don’t. We should trough the text lead or introduce people to Christ and let Him do the rest. Remember, it’s not about us but about our Lord and Savor Jesus Christ. |

Maybe we need more antihistamines in the charismatic church to help treat the itching ear problem!
ReplyDeleteThere are moments when God makes utter and complete sense to us, and the suddenly, life changes and he seems a foreign remmant of a childhood force-fed-faith..."(Lord) give us eyes to see your coming and going, ears to hear your voice and your silence , hands to hold your presence and your absence, and faith to trust your unchanging nature in all seasons"
